Sand & Sea Purse

I got to test the Sand & Sea Purse for Turtlelvr.

Turtle Drawstring Bag I Tested

I was lucky to get to test this bag for Turtlelvr. I am one of her 'automatic' testers. I used Red Heart Super Saver (RHSS) yarn. The solid color is Light Periwinkle and the multi color is Ocean.

Here is my latest finished project. I am proud of how it turned out. The next one will look even better. I was so proud to be finished. It got old working with the same colors that long.

Rose Lawn 2009 Art Festival

These are the pictures I had sent to the art festival committee to see if I could sale at the art festival. I had to send in 3 pictures and had a hard time deciding on the white/blue scarf or the barrel bag photo. So I sent all 4 of these. The necklace and bracelet were crocheted using an I hook or a 5.5mm hook and jewelry wire, clasps and beads. The jewelry wire, beads and hook can be found at Wal-Mart or any craft store. I had gotten the beads, clasps, and wire from Hobby Lobby. Only the necklace had a clasp. All though I did not put a clasp on the bracelet you can put one on if you want to. I improvised the bracelet pattern.

I took the pictures myself. When my husband saw the picture of the white/blue scarf he asked how I got the black background. I told him I had put the scarf on the back of my computer chair. I figured a black background would help it show up really well. I was amazed at how great the picture turned out.

The images are click able so you can see the detail better.

Recovery

Well I went home the day of my surgery. The surgery went great well as great as it can.

I would have crocheted that day but I had a headache and was very tired. The next day I was back to crocheting. I have been crocheting every day since. Naturally, working on things for my art festival.

I want to thank every one for the kind words and prayers for a speedy recovery. It means a lot to me.

I am almost finished with a purse. I just have to sew on the strap and sew on the button and line it. I should be getting a sewing machine for my birthday. The lining the purse will have to wait until I get the sewing machine. When I do lining by hand it looks horrible. I will use the machine to sew the sides of the fabric together then attach it to the purse by hand.

much crochet time.

Rose Lawn 2009 Art Festival

Two weeks ago I was accepted to sell items at my local annual art festival. I was screaming my head off for joy when I found out I was accepted. This is my first time selling my crocheted work. The art festival is September 19 & 20 this year. I have already crocheted a scarf, pot holder set, magnet, snowflakes and angel ornaments for the festival. I have a scarf I am working on and a penguin amigurumi.

Welcome

Welcome to my blog 'Magic Fabrics'. I have been crocheting now for one and a half years. I love it! I am married, I have 2 cats & 1 dog. My cats still try to get in my yarn every chance they get. I learned to crochet by watching the I Can't Believe I Am Crocheting in Motion DVD. I have been hooked ever since (pun intended).
